Reviewing my bad Images

People often forget that the images shared on any platform are probably just a few from hundreds or even thousands of pictures taken during that shoot. Of course, someone never posts his ratio of pictures taken/pictures posted, which is totally understandable and wouldn't serve any purpose if we are honest. In this post, I want to share my “bad” images, which would never see the light of social media, or publicity (well except until now I guess), to provide an insight into my mistakes and shine a light on a few similar to the vast majority which isn't shared. These images have all their mistakes, whether composition, overexposure or are just straight-up boring to look at. I didn't include any portrays on purpose, because I wanted to put emphasis on my mistakes as a photographer. Let's start our tour!

I took this picture in Alberobello, Italy, with my little Casio. I liked how the flowers look behind that dirty glass, but I thought it would look much more artsier I guess than it does.

I took this picture of a vintage Merc I REALLY liked, but it appears that my excitement led to me throwing my composition out the window, so here we are with an off-center Mercedes star, on a pretty red car. Looking back I can't really figure out why I didn't put the logo in the middle, even though I really wanted a good picture of that car.

Like any other photographer, my wet dream is to shoot gas stations as well, even when it looks awful, and the composition is just questionable, but here we are!

I honestly have no idea why I thought it would be artsy to shoot our roses in the garden with a flash, but I am pretty sure I expected a waaaay better outcome.

Here we are with another gas station flop, this time way out of focus, with questionable composition.

I honestly like this picture, so it might be just me nitpicking, that the A-pillar/glass is somehow weirdly out of focus, which bothers me a bit too much.

This could have been a nearly good image, if I had taken 2 steps back, to include the entire sign, and frame the see behind it, but I sadly didn't.

I took this picture in Polignano a Mare because I spotted this beautiful tree, but sadly I overexposed the image tremendously, and seems like I didn't give the composition a second thought either, but these flowers are still very pretty!

So here we are, of course, these are just snowflakes on the tip of the bad-images-iceberg, but I still wanted to show them to you, to give you an insight into the quality that most of my images look like. Does this mean I am a bad photographer? Probably not. Is this normal? ABSOLUTELY YES. I guarantee that there isn't a single person who only takes good images, every time they press the shutter. Having bad/good images (or taste) is a very subjective topic, but these are some easily correctable mistakes if someone slows down a bit, and takes their time and maybe gives a second thought if the picture they want to take is really worth it. All this said, hopefully, you learn from these mistakes and take some great pictures!
