Balaton Moments

Ah yes, the famous Hungarian sea. A destination spot for thousands of Hungarians enjoying an almost Mediterranean atmosphere curated by freshly made Lángos, infinite amounts of alcohol, mostly knee-deep water, and many parties all summer long.

Of course, it doesn't measure up to an Italian seaside city, or Croatian coast, but that isn't the point, and it is an excellent alternative in the heart of Europe.

As always, I had my small digital Casio with me, to capture some moments during our trip to Füred, and later to Paloznák, where Jazz Piknik took place later that evening, with the Earth Wind and Fire Experience as the main act.

I really love this cropped self-portrait shot, with the shadow around my eye, just showing the color of the iris.

These shots perfectly portray the colors of summer at the Balaton. With the greens of the grass, blue shades of the lake, and bright colors of the paddle boats.

After a fantastic sunset, the party began to the tunes of September and Boogie Wonderland, what a night!

Definitely want to come back to Balaton for shooting, because it is a very versatile environment and way closer than a trip to Italy or Spain. Have a lovely rest of summer, and take some great pictures!
