Capturing life in Puglia

As our trip to Monopoli came sadly to an end, I thought it would be nice to reflect on my favorite images showing everyday life and spontaneous moments in various cities in southern Italy. Let's start our tour, shall we?

This first image perfectly reflects the beach life of Polignano a Mare, Lama Monachile to be exact. It pretty much sums up every activity you can spot on the beach, mainly taking pics of the amazing view or your friends for Instagram, probably the second one. You will also encounter many people struggling to get in the water due to the stones of different sizes, making the way into the deep quite a challenge.

This was taken on the beach at Monopoli, capturing a wedding photoshoot, therefore creating an interesting picture in picture effect. Wonder how many photographers are enough for a single couple? I especially love the calm location, and the framing of the lucky couple, with the bride and her glowing white dress in the center!

I can't really decide between these two, so here are two images of high schoolers jumping from various docks and cliffs. Always astonished at how dynamic a still frame can have if the subject is right!

We spotted these two bikers on the coast of Bari, next to an amazing custom chopper, firmly glowing in the sun, with some matching footwear of course! Love how the red bus drove by at the perfect moment, adding a shade of red to the framing! The true definition of badass for sure!

This last picture truly resonates with me, probably because it has one of my favorite vintage cars in it, which I was fortunate enough to drive a few years back too! Spotted this baby blue (it kinda works honestly) Citroen DS on the beach at Bari, with the owner leaning proudly on his treasure. It must have been some sort of family reunion, since the many generations in the picture!

This is the end of our short tour, I wanted to put more emphasis on the pictures, rather than on the text surrounding them, so it's up to the viewer to let the different scenes sink in properly! Have a lovely day, and take some great pictures!
