Alberobello

If you ever wished to visit a tiny town where you feel like you entered a smurf town, well, Alberobello is your place to go in southern Italy! Alberobello (means literally tree in Italian) is famous for its unique "Trullo" buildings. The Trulli of Alberobello has also been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1996! Before you arrive at this lovely place, be prepared for a crowded bus ride from Bari, where a seat is hard to catch if you aren't quick.

You enter the center of town on this lovely street, with its floating hats being already a photogenic spot for tourists.

From here you can walk up to the surrounding small streets, enjoying the view of the Trulli, the little shops located in them, cafes, and restaurants! The Trulli are made of roughly worked limestone boulders collected from neighboring fields. They feature pyramidal, domed or conical roofs built up of corbelled limestone slabs. Most of these buildings are several thousand years old and are spread across the Meditarrian region, just crazy!

Pro tip: If you want to have pics with no tourists blocking your view, it's worth visiting the Trulli close to the drop-off point, and you will discover a few hidden spots where you can view the entire town, without the crowds!

It amazes me that there are people who actually live here, probably a day-to-day life!

We also were lucky enough to witness a Vespa meet in the town center, I more and more have the desire to ride one of these, to complete the Italian experience!

Did you know that Avengers Phase 5 will be set in Italy??

If you have the time (and space on the bus) to check this little place out, it's a must! I would suggest you to visit it during the week, for a calmer and less touristy time, avoiding the crowds. Truly unbelievable town, with unique architecture, looking like it was straight up picked from a fairy tale, you won't regret it for sure! Hope you liked this little photo tour, have a lovely day, and take some great pictures!
