Splashes of Polignano a Mare
As you might have guessed from the title, this post reflects on the jumps from cliffs, stones, and everything else captured during a day in Polignano a Mare, on two of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen!
The first one is one of the most famous and photogenic beaches in Italy, Lama Monachile. A little cave led to a beautiful, fairly hidden spot, where many attended jumps from the nearby cliffs.
The next location was Grotta Azzura, just a 5-minute walk from Lama Monachile. It was a bit more hidden, and had therefore way less traffic, due to the previous beach already attracting the crowds. This hidden gem had even a natural "pool" embedded in between the cliffs, which even at this time in may had a comfy temperature.
Thanks to a group of school kids, I had many moments of jumps to capture from different angles and spots too.
My favorite image of the day was this black and white one portraying a mid-backflip, real wallpaper material in my opinion!
I really recommend both beaches, with one being a bit more crowded and touristic, but gorgeous views of the rising cliffs, while the other offers a calmer and almost movie-like experience, but the combination of both is just perfect, especially because they are so close to each other!
