Monopoli moments!
As summertime comes closer, I wanted to share some of the images from our trip to Monopoli, Italy. This isn't necessarily a tour guide, but I will provide some information about some spots we saw throughout the way, and highlight my favorite images, and the stories behind them!
This series of images perfectly reflects the tight and absolutely lovely streets of Monopoli. It amazes me that there are people who live their day-to-day life in this magical place, which sleeps during siesta, and gets to live in the evening! It is also clearly impossible to own a "normal" sized car in the old town, Vespas and compacts are the way to go, preferably Fiats.
Found this basketball court quite photogenic, must be the habit of shooting film. The use of flash gives the fence its lovely green color back, which fits the summery vibe perfectly!
Found quite amusing that there were not one, but two wedding photoshoots that day, with an arsenal of photographers surrounding the lucky couples. The black and white one might be one of my favorite shots from this trip, with the spontaneity of the picture capturing the making of memories for a lifetime (hopefully), which adds many layers to the composition.
At the beach, a mini photoshoot was mandatory, with experimentations of the usage of daytime flash turning out better than I would have ever expected. Which one would you pick?
You didn't expect a post without any cars, right? So here is this Citroën 2CV parked next to the beach, with the waves hitting the wall in front of it, giving the picture a nice dynamic!
